Offer Practical Training To Students – PM

The Presiding Member (PM) of the Mfantseman District Assembly, Nana Ataapim Kweenu VIII, has appealed to industrial establishments to open their doors to tertiary students for practical "on-the-job" training.
   

Nana Kweenu, who is the Chief of Woraba near Cape Coast and Mankrado of the Nkusukum Traditional Area in the Central Region, noted that this would help them to meet advertisement requirement for recruitment, which often ask for practical experience.
   

He made the call at an Award Night organised by the Mfantseman District Secretariat of the National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) at Saltpond for 137 personnel who had completed their one-year service in the District.
   

Nana Kweenu stated that the best way to develop the human resource capacity of the country was to recruit young people to groom and nurture their talents to gain self-confidence for the growth of organisations.  He urged organisations to stop enticing workers trained by other establishments under the pretext of looking for experienced people.
    

Mr  Robert Quainoo-Arthur, District Chief Executive (DCE), reminded service personnel that their schooling was meant to expose them to the realities of life and how best to find solutions to organisations them.
