US Ambassador Pays Farewell Call At Manhyia

Otumfuo Osei Tutu, Asantehene, yesterday commended Miss Pamela Bridgewater, Outgoing United States (US) Ambassador to Ghana for boosting the fruitful co-operation between Ghana and her country.

Oheneba Adusei Poku, Akyempemhene of Kumasi, conveyed the commendation on behalf of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu, when Ms Bridgewater paid a farewell call at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region at the end of her duty tour.

The Asantehene praised the US for all the interventions it had so far made to support Ghana's economy.

Nana Boakye Ansah Debrah, Asokore-Mamponghene, who joined the Akyempemhene to receive the Ambassador to the Palace, expressed gratitude to the US for initiating the African Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA) and the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA).

Miss Bridgewater, who was accompanied by officials from the US Embassy, complimented Otumfuo Osei Tutu for the warm and kind reception he accorded her any time she called at the

Palace during her stay in Ghana.
