Youth Urged To Tolerate Others ViewsMr Isaac Osei, New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Subin constituency has appealed to the youth in the constituency to tolerate and respect the views of their political opponents in order to ensure peaceful elections in December.
He said the country is now a beacon of hope for many people and it will be a great setback and disappointment to friends and well wishers of Ghana if the December election is characterized by chaos and other forms of violence. Mr Osei made the appeal at separate interactions with some youth groups and clubs in the constituency as part of his campaign activities. He advised the supporters of NPP to be vigilant during the elections to prevent any malpractices at the polling stations. Mr Osei said the NPP government under President Kufuor has done a lot for the country and there is the need for party activists to sell the good works of the government to the people in order to ensure total victory for the party. He mentioned the introduction of the National Health Insurance Scheme, Capitation Grant, School Feeding Programme, free health care for pregnant women as some of the achievements of the party. Mr Osei, who is also the Chief Executive of COCOBOD, advised the youth to concentrate much of their energies on education in order to attain higher academic laurels. He said those who cannot obtain formal education can also learn a trade or vocation to become useful to their families, the party and the country as a whole. He urged them to continue with their unflinching support for the party and campaign seriously to retain the party in power. Source: GNA
