Commissioning Of Cocoa Farmers Housing Project

The Deputy Minister, Hon. Nii Nortey Duah, on March 20th, commissioned the 3rd phase of the Housing Project for cocoa farmers, Nationwide at Kadjebi.   26 houses are to be completed in this phase. The project is meant to reward cocoa farmers for their contribution to the economic growth of the nation.

Annual General Meeting

The Ghana Institute of Architecture held its annual general meeting on 22nd March, 2012 in Accra under the theme “The Architect and National Development”. The occasion was also used to launch their 50th Anniversary Celebration.

The Deputy Minister, Hon. Nii Nortey Duah, who attended the meeting on behalf of the Minister, urged architects in the country to design affordable housing using available and cheaper local materials as well as develop efficient energy architecture.

World Water Day

The Hon. Minister, Enoch Teye Mensah, on 22nd March, 2012 attended the World Water Day Celebration at Asutsuare. In his speech, he called for a concerted effort at tackling the continuous pollution of the country’s water bodies.
