The Electoral Commission (EC) in the face of advancing ICT and emerging challenges of voter registration in the past has decided to replace the current voters register with a biometric register for future Elections.

The Electoral Commission has replaced the voter’s register with the biometric register for subsequent elections. This was due to advancement in ICT and challenges met previously.
