PUSAG Lauds NDPC On 40 Years Development Plan

The National Executive Council (NEC) of the Private Universities Students’ Association of Ghana (PUSAG) has lauded the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) for the successful commissioning of the 40 year development plan for Ghana.

A statement signed jointly by Mr Raphael Apetorgbor, National Media Relations Director and Mr Mohammed Adams Sukparu, Chief Executive Officer of PUSAG and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Monday said: “We also commend government for conceiving this idea and proceeding with appropriate steps in developing the plan which will inure to the benefit of the citizenry.

“In the view of PUSAG, the plan is a timely one which will enhance the process of national development,” it added.  It said Ghana as a nation of 58 years was required to have a national development plan such as this in order to guide policy makers on the direction of nation's growth.

“We therefore, call on all Ghanaians to come together as one people to support this agenda.“PUSAG believes as a student body, we also have a role to play in the development of the nation, hence the call for all private universities students to support the cause.

“We urged all political parties and civil society organisations to put all political, social and economic colours aside and join hands together to make the agenda come to fruition,” it stated.  It urged various consultants on the agenda to involve the youth massively in all concrete decisions taken and also to put in their best to see to a successful implementation.

It assured that PUSAG would also be available to support the agenda anytime they were being called upon.
