The Head of Local Government Service, Dr Nana Ato Arthur, has pledged to ensure that Information Technology (IT) departments of the various offices under the Ga Central Municipal Assembly (GCMA) become functional.

Nana Dr Arthur noted that there were high expectations of the performance of Local Government Service and as such, his outfit was committed to building the capacity staff in the service to sharpen their skills in order to be able to discharge their duties professionally.

He was addressing staff of the Assembly when he paid a working visit to the GCMA to interact with and outline his vision for the Assembly and the various stakeholders.

He cautioned staff who reported late and left work before closing time to desist from the act.

Nana Dr Arthur urged the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) to install biometric clocking system at the Assembly to help curtail the situation.

He reminded staff of the need to show loyalty to the MCE and asked them to desist from leaking official documents to friends in the various political parties as it was against the ethics of the Service.
