For business to grow, the future is e-Commerce, and e-Commerce needs to scale up by striving to overcome the challenges of payment, delivery and packaging.

This was the consensus reached at the Annual Vendor Conference of Jumia Ghana, Ghana’s largest online marketplace, which took place in Accra, ahead of the company’s 6th anniversary which comes off on July 27, this year.

In attendance were about 20 vendors from all categories including fashion, large appliances, phones & tablets, skin & beauty and computers.

The conference also provided the platform for the management of Jumia Ghana to share insights on plans and strategies for the upcoming 6th anniversary sale as well as other efficient ways to improve the overall business.

Addressing participants, Mr Ore Odusanya, Co-Chief Executive Officer (CO-CEO) of Jumia Ghana, said Jumia was happy to contribute its quota to the development of e-commerce in Ghana.

The 2018 Jumia Anniversary Sale, which will run from the 16th to the 29th of July, will be the largest online sale event in Ghana to date, with a projected volume up to 10 times the daily sales.

Jumia, Africa’s leading E-commerce Company, present in 23 countries, was founded in 2012 with the belief that the Internet can improve people’s lives in Africa.
