On the 8th December 2016 Mr Samuel Atta – Mills the younger brother of the late President John Evans Atta- Mills was declared the winner of the Komenda Edina Eguafo constituency (KEEA) Parliamentary seat with 21,957 votes while the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) candidate, Mr. John Sterlin, followed with 18,860 votes and the incumbent Member of Parliament, Hon. Dr Stephen Ato Arthur, garnered 15,960 votes and the Convention’s Peoples Party candidate Mrs Rose Tenadu followed with 410 in that order.
