GA CENTRAL MCE URGES PUPILS TO STUDY HARD

The Municipal Chief Executive (MDC) of the Ga Central Municipal Assembly (GCMA), Dr Emmanuel Lamptey, has advised pupils in the Municipality to take their education seriously.

Dr Lamptey, who gave the advice when he toured some selected schools in the Municipality to observe “My First Day At School,” urged the pupils to be punctual in school, attentive in class and study hard so as to become better persons in life.

Describing the day as important in the lives of pupils, the MCE said his presence should serve as an encouragement to them, especially those entering the classroom for the first time.

Recounting his experience about when he first stepped foot in a classroom to the pupils, Dr Lamptey said it was a life-changing experience for him because he found himself in a new environment.

According to him, he did not drop out of school because he had someone who encouraged him to take his education seriously .

Some of the schools Dr Lamptey toured included Odorgonno Model School, Anyaa Cluster of Schools, St. Justin Anglican School, Anyaa M/A 1 and 2, Platinum Montessori, Abeka Motorway School, Salvation Army School, Awoshie Islamic School and Apostle Sarfo School.

He also presented books, pencils, water bottles, sharpeners and erasers to pupils in Kindergarten one and those transitioning from Kindergarten two to class one to serve as motivation for the pupils to come to school every day.
