DCE Visits Examination Centres BA/R

The Tano South District Chief Executive, Hon. Bukari Zakari Anaba visited various examination centres in the district during the 2014 Basic Education Certificate Examination. The purpose was to have a clear view of how the examination was being conducted and to interact with both the pupils and their invigilators.

During the rounds, the District Chief Executive was informed that the Tano South District registered one thousand four hundred (1400) pupils for the examination. The break down in terms of males and females were seven hundred and sixty- five (765) and six hundred and thirty-five respectively for males and females. He was further informed that out of the total number who registered only two failed to show up to write the examination.

In all his rounds, Hon. Anaba advised the pupils to work hard to enable them pass the examination well.  He entreated them not to enter the examination hall with any foreign material apart from those approved by the authorities.

Hon. Anaba assured the pupils that the Tano South Assembly was always ready to award scholarships to best performing pupils in the examination to pursue further education in the Senior High School.

The Tano South District Director of Education, Mrs. Mary Grace Bonye on her part commended the pupils in all the centres for the way and manner they had conducted themselves and advised them to work hard and come out with flying colours. 

In another development, the Tano South District Chief Executive used the visits to also inspect  some ongoing educational  projects currently been undertaking in some of the educational institutions in the District  including the four (4) storey community senior high school building project, the ICT centre at Derma and also took time to inspect the Derma-Ada road.
