Swearing-In Ceremony At Koforidua

Confirmed Chief Executives from Birim South and Lower Manya Krobo have been sworn into office at a short ceremony at the Regional Coordinating Council, Koforidua.

They took the official oath of office, oath of secrecy and the oath of allegiance.

The Local Government Minister who is also the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Julius Debrah, tasked the appointees to be open-minded and explore other opportunities that would rake in revenue for needed development at their localities in light of delay in payment of the common fund allocation.

He asked the newly sworn-in Chief Executives to be guided by the principle to be time conscious and submissive to the people so as to move their communities towards economic growth.

In acceptance, the Municipal and District Chief Executives for Lower Manya Krobo and Birim South respectively were grateful to the President, the Local Government Minister, Chiefs, Party and family members for the trust placed in them.

They pledged to discharge their duties effectively to bring their areas to the limelight.
