Special Limited Registration Exercise Ends Successful In Ejisu A/R

The special limited registration exercise, that provided opportunity for those who had attained the voting age of 18 to get their names on the electoral roll, registered a total of 8,384 eligible voters in the Ejisu-Juaben constituency in the Ashanti Region.

The Municipal Electoral Officer for Ejisu-Juaben, Mr Sampson Ofori Gyamfi, made that known in an interview with the Information Services Department (ISD) at Ejisu in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipal capital.

Mr Gyamfi told ISD that about 31 persons were challenged to either be minors or strangers. According to him, apart from these instances, everything went on peacefully and smoothly.

He described the exercise in the municipality as very successful since it was incidence-free throughout the registration centres in the constituency.

The nationwide exercise, which was carried out in 6,000 centres in the country lasted for 10 days.
