Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Elects New CLOGSAG Executives A/R

The Ejisu-Juaben Municipal of the Ashanti Region has elected new executive officers for the local Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) for next four years with Mr. Peter Kwame Amoako as the chairman. Other officers elected were Mr. Brian Afriyie as the Organizer and Mr. Samuel Owusu as Secretary.

 

The elections which took place at the Municipal Assembly Hall was conducted and supervised by the Municipal Electoral commission and witness by the Regional Executives of COCSAG.  

Earlier the Municipal Coordinating Director Mr. Louis Bayuoh asked the contestants to prepare their minds that there were two things in elections either win or lose explaining that elections were always elections no matter the position you are applying for and therefore should be prepared to carry out the tasks and responsibilities that go with the positions. He therefore advised them to accept anybody who wins because anybody who wins is a member of CLOGSAG and asked them to come together and work in unity to ensure that CLOGSAG move forward.

Mr. Louis further challenged the newly elected executives to prove their capabilities to all members that the previous executives they did do much by exceeding whatever legacies they had left behind.

He said with the elections over it was time for serious business and so there shouldn’t be any accusations and counter-accusations which would retard progress and not bring togetherness, added that unity should be paramount among the executives and between the members and the executives.

The New Municipal CLOGSAG Chairman Mr.  Peter Kwame Amoako on behalf of his colleagues thanked all the members for the chance given them to stir the affairs of the association in the Municipality for the next four years. He promised to ensure information flow and effective communication to enable members knows more about the association during their tenure of office. 

 

He advised his colleagues to work together so that they could continue from where their predecessors left off and made sure they improved on what had been achieved.
