The Vocational Training for Females (VTF), a Presbyterian non-governmental organization (NGO), has organised a training workshop in Information Communication Technology (ICT) for 100 female entrepreneurs in Accra.
The participants, who included dressmakers, hairdressers, painters, sprayers and other artisans selected from rural communities, were educated in basic computer skills, to help them to improve their businesses.

The Ghana Standard Authority (GSA) has directed building contractors to make available for testing all materials to be used for government projects.
By the directive, materials such as cement, iron rods and all other roofing materials meant for public projects are to be subjected to severe testing by the GSA at sites and its laboratories.
