| Chamber Of Commerce Presents 12,000 Bottles Of Water Towards President's Funeral |

The Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industries (GCCI) has presented 12,000 bottles of branded water valued at GHC8, 000 towards the funeral of late President John Evans Atta Mills. President Mills died on 24th July 2012 after a short illness at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. Presenting the items, Mr Seth Adjei-Baah, President, GCCI, said the gesture was the Chambers contribution towards the funeral of the late president. He expressed shock over the demise of the president and called on Ghanaians to let his passing unite the country.“I must say we are also happy about the way Ghanaians have responded in helping to organise the funeral.” He lauded the late president for his support towards the growth of the private sector in the country, adding that, he was a man who embraced all, regardless of one’s political affiliation. “Although, the late president was aware of my political background, he was ever ready to work with me”, he said. He pledged the Chamber’s continuous assistance towards the success of the funeral arrangements of the late president. Madam Bertha Ansah-Djan, Chief Executive Officer, Microfinance and Small Loans Centre, who received the items on behalf of the Funeral Planning Committee, expressed her appreciation to the Chamber for its kind gesture.
