A workshop to acquaint Ghanaians and upgrade their skills to augment their knowledge on new developments in Information Communication Technology (ICT) has been held in Accra, yesterday.

The two-day workshop was organised by Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV).

Mr. Akira Furukawa, the Project facilitator, in a presentation said the group has commenced with a new marketing research on new computers in Ghana.

He said current research has revealed that a wide variety of computers used in the country and their maintenance compatibility in Ghana is difficult, thus accurate knowledge and technology are required, to understand the difference on how to deal with previous and new generations of computers.

According to the project facilitator, the workshop is targeted at JOCV counterparts and Ghanaians engaged in ICT.

It will further acquire them knowledge on technology for computers, which will reflect their experience on further activities.
