MOFA Website Launched PDF Print E-mail

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) has launched its website in Accra as part of measures of extending its services to the general public.

In his speech, the Minister for Food and Agricuture, Mr Kwesi Ahwoi, said that in line with the aim of achieving the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the Ministry developed the website. Launching the website www.mofa.gov.gh, the Minister said the website is not only to inform the world about the existence of MOFA, but also serves as a reference source for critical agriculture data and
information to students, researchers, and the general public in the country.

The Deputy Minister for Communication, Mr Atu-Quaye Armah, disclosed that the Government
still remains dedicated to facilitating development in Ghana and has been systematically formulating policies in creating the necessary platform for launching the nation into the growing world of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) .

He added that in the governance agenda, websites will in the near future be the main media through which information will be disseminated to the general populace and therefore advised that MOFA should try and meet the standard set up in order to ensure its integration into the Government of Ghana (GoG) portal.
