The Presbyterian University College is to establish a Medical School at its Agogo campus in the Asante-Akim North District, Professor Kofi Sraku Lartey, its President, has announced. He said the College had already had extensive discussions with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council for the smooth take-off of the school.

Mr Solomon Asiedu, Coordinating Director of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), has urged the media and civil society groups to show keen interest in the fiscal management and administration of district assemblies to promote accountability and transparency.

Madam Rosamund Edusei, Ashanti Regional Director of the Department of Town and Country Planning has said that the Japan International Cooperation Agency’s (JICA) Greater Kumasi Project would promote effective and efficient development of the nation.
She said the JICA Greater Kumasi Project is a 20-year development plan aimed at transforming the current economy of the nation to a vibrant, modernized and diversified one since Kumasi plays a major role in Ghana’s economy.
