Residents of Atebubu in the Brong Ahafo Region last Tuesday marked one week of the death of former President JEA Mills. The celebration took the form of singing, drumming, dancing, prayers and the preaching of sermons. The celebrants who turned up in their numbers clad in black and red outfit cut across political and religious divide. Speakers and preachers alike touched on the humble nature of the ex-President and how he worked hard to seek the betterment of his people. They also spoke on the unity the death had brought to the country and wished this was sustained before, during and after the December elections. In a speech, the Atebubu-Amantin District Chief Executive, Mr SanjaNanja described the late President as a man of peace and urged all to emulate this even as we go into elections in December adding that no matter our political, ethnic or religious differences, we remain one people with a common destiny.
