Fifteen members from various unions under the Civil and Local Government Staff Association (CLOGSAG) in the Central Region were yesterday presented awards as part of this year’s May Day celebrations in Cape Coast. They were presented with items including refrigerators and personal computers for their outstanding performances in their various fields of work.

A community Cold Storage facility with a storage capacity of about 3,000 kilograms of fish has been inaugurated at Apam in the Central Region.
The cold store, which has a facility for ice-block making, is a joint partnership of government and the private sector.

Campaign for Female Education (CAMFED), a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) that supports girls’ education and women empowerment is currently sponsoring the education of 520 brilliant but needy females in the Ekumfi District in the Central Region.
In all 380 basic schools and 140 Senior High School (SHS) are currently benefitting from the sponsorship package.
