Water Aid Ghana and the Uniliver Ghana Foundation have provided water and sanitation facilities to three deprived communities in the Birim North District.
The communities are Adausena, Nyamebekyere and Pankese, each of which received 10,000 gallons mechanised water system, a mechanised borehole and a 10-seater place of convenience.

Nana Agyare Dankwa, Nkosuohene of Nkwanda number one in the Kwahu South District, has appealed to the Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) and the assembly to construct speed ramps and pedestrian crossings in all the towns and villages along the Accra-Kumasi road to minimise accidents. He said the number of people who die through road crashes, especially pedestrian knockdown on the Accra-Kumasi road was worrying.

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) yesterday launched a Malaria Control Strategy in Koforidua aimed at addressing the health and social challenges the disease poses to productivity. The Strategy is a collaborative effort of the GRA, the National Malaria Control programme, the John Hopkins University Centre for Communication Programmes and Voices for a Malaria-Free future.

The Lancing Regional Sister Cities Commission (LRSCC), has officially dedicated a new Health centre for the people of Pokrom, a small community in the Aburi area yesterday. In addition to the Health Centre, three sanitation facilities and a clean water system has also been were constructed in the town.
