Mr Sakuji Tanaka, President of Rotary International (RI) today donated books and learning materials to the La Wireless Early Childhood (LWEC) Centre in Accra. This was after an inspection of the classroom block, sanitary facilities, office, sleeping room, pantry and playing ground projects initiated by the Accra North Rotary Club, under construction at the La Wireless Cluster of Schools.
Mr Jonathan Adjetey, President of Accra North Rotary Club, said the club was fortunate to have its project selected as one of the highlights of President Tanaka’s three-day official working visit to Ghana. He said the project was to complement efforts of the Ghana Education Service to provide a two-year Kindergarten education for all public schools. Mr Adjetey said the first phase of the project that would involve furnishing of the buildings, also aimed at supporting the La community with a pre-school. Source: GNA
