Residents of Saboba have expressed shock and dismay about the sudden demise of His Excellency, President John Evans Fiifi Atta Mills, which occurred on the 24th of July 2012.

An interview with a cross section of the Public in Saboba indicated that almost everybody was very sad on hearing that the President had passed away.

According to some of them, the late President was an honest and God fearing man who had the wellbeing of his people at heart.

One Constituency executive, Mr Shani, said that former President Mills was soplain and truthful that nobody could push him around in the discharge of his duties. Headded that the Party had lost a great Leader who stood firm on issues he had convictions in.

Mr Shani consoled NDCSupporters andsympathizers and urged them to unite and work harder for the victory of the Party come December 2012. He also urged the leadership of the Party at the national level to choose his successor without rancor.

Other political Parties shared similar views.According to them, though they belongto different Political Parties, the President’s death was ablow to the entire nation. What was left at this stage was for Ghanaians to learn lessons from his death and forge ahead in unity and that Ghanaians should continue to show to the World that we are beacon of Democracy in Africa.

One Church leader at E.P Senior High School remarked that it may take a longer time before Ghana can get a leader like that who had always showed humility in his dealings with his subordinates and even his perceived enemies.

He appealed to Ghanaians to be calm so as to move the nation to the highest pedestal.
