The Government has increased the number of health training school in Upper West Region to help address the healthcare needs of the people adequately, Mr Caesar Kale, Deputy Upper West Regional Minister has said.
He said Government has for the past three years provided the region with five polyclinics at strategic communities, two midwifery training schools at Nandom and Tumu, two health assistant training schools in Wa and Lawra and constructional works on the Wa Regional Hospital is also progressing.

Alhaji Amin Amidu Sulemana, Upper West Regional Minister has urged Ghanaians to be apostles of peace during this year’s elections to guarantee development.
He therefore called on politicians, political party supporters, traditional rulers and religious leaders as well as other persons not to engage in any acts that will jeopardise the prevailing peace in the country.

Amidu Sulemana, Upper West Regional Minister, last Saturday applauded the efforts of opinion leaders for working together to maintain unity and peace in the Region.
He, however, called on them to continue talking to the youth to stay clean from violence or allow themselves, to be used to foment troubles during and after the December 7 general elections.
