Mr Michael Kobla Adzaho, Adaklu-Anyigbe District Chief Executive, has inaugurated a three-unit classroom block with office, store and library for Akwetey District Assembly Junior High School in the Volta Region.
The three-month rapid response project became necessary after students of the School were ejected from their rented classroom. Mr Adzaho commended Genikacha Enterprise, contractors who worked on the project, for working within the contract period. “I am very happy you have finished the work in good time for our children to have a decent place to learn and pass well.” He spoke about the importance of education and urged parents to invest in the education of their children. “These days, we don’t go to war, our war now is education so if you have to go and borrow money for your children’s education, don’t hesitate,” Mr Adzaho said. He appealed to the students to justify investments being made in them by improving their academic performance. Mr Adzaho inaugurated a similar project at Ziope Roman Catholic Basic school. The Assembly rehabilitated a pavilion into a three-unit classroom block. Alhaji Ahmed Mukhaila, Works Engineer of the Adaklu-Anyigbe District, said the projects cost GH¢34,000 and GH¢74,000 respectively. Source: GNA
