A three day summit aimed at finding ways of protecting natural resources from destruction in the Western Region has begun in Takoradi.

Organised by the Western Region Development of NGOs (WERENGO), the summit is on the theme, “the impact of natural resource exploitation to women’s access to land and water resource”.

Goldfields To Invest $3.6 Million In Communities PDF Print E-mail

Goldfields Ghana Limited, Tarkwa mine, has projected to invest $3.6 million (GH¢6.84 million) on its sustainable development projects for this year.

The projects, which have already been approved by the company, comprised Junior High School blocks, maternity unit, hostel, extension of small town water supply system and mechanised boreholes.
