Mrs Naana Dadzie, immediate past Western Regional Chairperson of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), yesterday asked the government to commit adequate resources to primary school education.
She made the call at the Fourth Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the Shama Ahanta East branch of the GNAT at Fijai, near Takoradi.

 Regional Offices of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) would be developed into model offices, Mr Bernard Otabil, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Agency, said in Takoradi yesterday.
At a meeting with the staff of the Agency in Takoradi, he said regional offices are important component in the set up of the Agency since the bulk of stories come from these areas.

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ellembelle, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah has donated 500 wheel chairs and crutches worth $15,000 to the Ghana Federation of the Disabled in the Ellembelle District.
The donation was made possible through a collaboration programme between Always Praising the Father and JONI & FRIENDS two non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in the United States.
