Michael Ikpoki, Chief Executive Officer of MTN Ghana, says his outfit will institute more Golf competitions to demonstrate their commitment to the development and promotion of the sport.
“Few weeks ago, we hosted the Asantehene Gold Cup in Kumasi, one of the biggest events on the Golf calendar. We have also hosted the MTN Classic Golf Tournament to show that we are the leading firm when it comes to the development and promotion of Golf in Ghana.
He told GNA Sports “considering the huge turn-out at the MTN Classic Golf Competition, I have no doubt that we have been able to connect with our customers.
The competition saw E. Kofi Owusu finishing first in the men’s group A, event after recording a 64 net score.
Ace golfer, Mona Captan had 71 net score to beat former Tema Country Golf Course, lady captain Florence Etwi-Barimah by three strokes to grab the Ladies A event with Margaret Owusu-Baah placing third with 75 net score.
In the Men’s Group B category, Seth Amoah, proved superior after an impressive 61 score with Sir Sam Jonah, Tang Bin placing second and third place respectively.
Cathy Boateng recorded 72net to pick the top prize in the Ladies B event with Petrina Galley picking the second prize.
