INTRODUCTION
We are the Office of the Administrator of Stool Lands (OASL) under the Ministry of Lands, Forestry and Mines of the Republic of Ghana.
VISION
To excel as the major source of stool land revenue mobilization, for the development of stool land owning communities, in a friendly, simple and expeditious manner.
MISSION
To enhance stool land revenue mobilization and disbursement, and facilitate sustainable development and efficient management of stool lands in a transparent, accountable and equitable manner.
WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
• Establishment of Stool Lands Accounts for all Stools
• Collection of all Stool Land Revenue
• Disbursement of Stool Land Revenue
• Consultation with and advice to Traditional Land Owners on effective and sustainable development and use of Stool Lands.
• Stool Land conflict management
WE STRIVE FOR:
• Effective revenue collection on all customary lands in the country and accounting to the beneficiaries.
• Establishment of a comprehensive database on all customary lands in the country that would help reduce land litigation.
• Continuous improvement in our service delivery.
• Annual research into topical customary land issues.
INFORMATION TRANSPARENCY AND CONVENIENCE
• The OASL will endeavour to provide its clients/customers with all the information they need to access its services.
• Information counters will be at all OASL Client/Customer Service Units.
• Information sheets and pamphlets will be available at all Client/Customer Service Units.
• Suggestion boxes will be placed at our Client/Customer Service Units to facilitate feedback on the quality of our services.
• Client/Customer Service Surveys will be conducted twice a year and the results publicized towards the enhancement of OASL’s service delivery.
• We will provide clean, healthy and friendly reception areas.
COURTESY AND COOPERATION
• Information counters will be at all OASL Client/Customer Service Units.
• Information sheets and pamphlets will be available at all Client/Customer Service Units.
• The OASL will provide accurate and reliable data to clients.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THE PUBLIC
To assist the OASL perform its duties expeditiously, we expect the following from the public:
• Ensure documents are well prepared and contain economic rents.
• Provide for rent revision clauses in the documents.
• Demarcate customary land boundaries for easy identification.
• District Assemblies must submit development proposals before accessing stool land revenue.
• Stool land funded development projects must be clearly labeled as such.
