His Excellency the President has relieved the Hon Minister for National Security, Mr Francis Poku of his duties with effect from today, January 12, 2008.

His Excellency the President wishes to take the opportunity to express his deepest gratitude to Mr Francis Poku for his immense contribution to the stability and development of this country during his tenure as National Security Co-ordinator and subsequently as Minister for National Security.

He wishes him well in all his future endeavours
